A few days more and it’ll be Christmas Day. Well, I have not been into that common Christmas rush in preparation for the Day of Christ Birth. I just want my Christmas to be practical. No such fancy of Christmas Trees and other Decorations which my Father considers as pagan. My father has long criticized Roman Catholic Christians of it’s practices and traditions. I as well, has been influenced of such criticism and made me realize being practical. It’s not that I am totally against the practices of the Roman Catholic Church it is just that… they are making their members even so poorer(especially here in the Philippines, where most Filipino’s are adherents of Roman Catholicism). They remit such large amounts from the offerings and sending it to the Vatican which is In fact I see as so majestic and regal-like -the Vatican. Yet, so many people here in the Philippines struggle to survive and at least have bread on the table. And to see such facts, The Sunday mass has not been really effective over the members of their church. And to hear that most criminals and corrupt political leaders are but Catholics. It has been but a sad situation yet a very downgrading issue for the good image of Religion in the religious Philippines.
